2.2 Configuring credential profiles for printed identity documents
You must create at least one credential profile for your printed identity documents.
To configure a credential profile for printed identity documents:

In MyID Desktop, from the Configuration category, select Credential Profiles.
You can also launch this workflow from the Credential Configuration section of the More category in the MyID Operator Client. See the Using Credential Configuration workflows section in the MyID Operator Client guide for details.
- Click New.

Type a Name and optional Description for the credential profile.

In Card Encoding, select Printed Identity Document (Only).

Click the Issuance Settings section.
The issuance settings you can use for printed identity documents are restricted. You can use the following:

Validate Issuance
-
Validate Cancellation
Note: If you require validation for cancellation, you must use the MyID Desktop workflow Cancel Credential to cancel the printed identity document; you cannot use the Cancel Device option in the MyID Operator Client.

Lifetime
-
Require user data to be approved

Click the Requisite User Data section.
This section contains a list of user attributes that must be present for this credential profile to be issued.

Click Next.

On the Select Roles screen, select the roles you want to be able to issue and receive printed identity documents using this credential profile.

The Can Receive option determines which roles can receive printed identity documents issued using this credential profile.

The Can Request option determines which roles can request printed identity documents using this credential profile.

The Can Validate option determines which roles can validate requests for printed identity documents using this credential profile using the Validate Request workflow.

The Can Collect option determines which roles can collect printed identity documents using this credential profile.
Note: Not all options may be available, depending on your system configuration. See the Working with credential profiles section in the Administration Guide for details.

Click Next.

On the Select Card Layout screen, select your printed identity document card layout.
Select the front layout. The back layout is selected automatically if there is a layout with the same name with _back appended.

Click Next.
- Type your Comments and click Next to complete the workflow.
